Following The Seam’ Ammanford 2005
Two sandstone columns standing 6 metres high for Ammanford Town Council, in commemoration of the once-extensive coal mining industry in this area of South Wales.
The two columns echo the strata of sandstone that overlie the seams of coal. Contained within these layers are strata of polished slate, representing the different seams of coal in which the coal miners once worked. Engraved upon the seams are poems created by poet Einir Jones working with school
