Tyddyn Môn - Môn Mam Cymru

2003

Three giant seed forms created with sculpted bricks, exploring ideas of nurture and growth. Sited with an inspiring view towards the mountains of Snowdonia, the title Môn Mam Cymru reminds us that the island of Anglesey was once known as the grain basket of Wales.

Tyddyn Môn is now a well-established charity creating employment and opportunity for adults with learning difficulties on Anglesey. The text was created by the clients working with poet Menna Elfyn and is carved into the walls that enclose the sculpture.
